In The Pink FAQ

Q: How much do you charge for your puppies ?

A: Our puppies are $ 1200.00. Occasionally, the price may be slightly higher, depending on the costs associated with a particular breeding (eg. stud fees, etc.) We require a $ 300.00 non-refundable deposit to reserve a puppy. All applicable taxes apply.

Q: What happens if you cannot provide a puppy from the litter I placed a deposit on, or of the sex I asked for ?

A: You will have the opportunity to choose a puppy of the opposite sex if available, or your reservation will be moved to our next upcoming litter.

Q: What methods of payment do you accept ?

A: We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, Interac debit payments, and e-mail bank transfers. Sorry, but we no longer accept any cheques.

Q: Do you sell puppies for breeding ?

A: We will consider selling puppies for breeding, but please phone us directly to discuss this, as our puppies are normally sold under non-breeding contracts.

Q: I don't live within Ontario. Do you sell your puppies to out-of-province clients ?

A: We will consider selling our puppies outside of Ontario. Please phone us directly to discuss this.

Q: When can I take my puppy home ?

A: The gestation period (the time from conception until birth) for the puppies is about 2 months. Puppies are usually ready to leave for their new homes 8 weeks after they are born. Occasionally, they may need to spend a bit longer with us before they are ready to leave. If this is the case, we try to let our clients know ASAP.

Q: What should I have ready for when I bring my new puppy home ?

A: We recommend having the following on hand when you bring your puppy home:

1. Food: Ask us about the foods we recommend; most are listed in the column on the left hand side of this page. Click on them to visit the various websites for more information.

2. A crate for the puppy to sleep in (we recommend crate training.)

3. A freestanding pen to provide a safe play area for your puppy.

4. Toys: We recommend NylaBone and Kong chew toys, Jolly Balls, and ropes for first toys, because they are durable, safe toys for puppies. (Avoid rawhide toys, as they can cause serious digestive tract problems for dogs.)

A collar and leash.

These items are available at The Whistle Stop Pet Shop, near our location. Ask us about the special Puppy Packages available to our clients at The Whistle Stop ! You can arrange to pick up your Puppy Pack at the whistle Stop when you pick up your In The Pink puppy.

Q: You don’t have puppies available right now / we are not from your area...are there any other Golden breeders you can recommend ?
